The Yearly Round Up

It’s January 1st, I’ll be 21 in exactly 31 days, and I’ve been Hungry and Well Dressed for five months and a week.

To get things started to my family, those who I see once a month, twice a year or once every few years I’m lucky I have you. Through our dysfunctionality, functionality and not so secret concern when Grandma gets given a glass of wine we’ve taken it all in stride and done what we do best: open another bottle of wine.

Friends, to the ones who I’ve lost this year, I’m sorry to see you go, and I miss all the things that we did together. Without you, however, I’m happy for the first time in a long time with myself and I’m still getting used to it being just me at points, but I’ve learned that it’s not being alone that I’m afraid of it’s feeling lonely, and you more than anyone else made me feel lonely. I’ve also learned that those who have exited my life, really didn’t give a sh*t about my aspirations; they were the pessimists, the pessimistic realists, and the hypocrites. When we run into each other in a year or two we can compare, until then, we’ll see.

Friends, the ones who’ve stuck around or come into my life, you know who you are, and words are just words but thank you. You’ve listened, supported and dealt with me tagging you in more hotline bling videos than you care to count. You are my favourite people in the world, and I wouldn’t know how I would’ve gotten through the year without you. Words will never be enough but thank you, thank you, thank you.

To the place, the dream, and the goal that are stuck in my head I’ll get there, soon.

To the people who have followed me on Instagram and Tumblr thank you!!! There are over three thousand of you and never, ever did I think that 300 people who find what I put up on the internet let alone 3000 would find it interesting.

To the crazy things I’ve done this year, Parsons, Panama, Aritzia, This Blog, I am so thankful to be in a position where I can do these things and getting to live these experiences. I hope the new year will bring new and exciting opportunities and lots and lots of food.

xoxo Steph
