Laduree the iconic French Patisserie known for it’s macaroons and (less commonly known) for their amazing iced coffee was a stop I had to make while in NYC.
On a class field trip to Soho with our teacher Joan, she wanted us to shop around and get ideas for our final project. While walking along trying to find my way to DASH to check out the For Love and Lemons Summer Collection to get ideas, I passed Laduree. Having always heard of the brand and dreamed about going to the iconic cafe in Paris but never having the time, I took this as a sign to fulfill my dream of experiencing a bit of Paris in Downtown New York City.
We indulged ourselves in eight different flavours ranging from the extravagant (the Emilio Pucci Collaborative) to the simple (Lavender). Delicious and the best macaroons I have ever had.
To enjoy the sweet treats, we took a break on our way back to our night seminar in Washington Square Park. While sipping on our iced coffee, we listened to buskers, screaming children were cooling off in the fountain and the general hustle and bustle of downtown.
XOXO Steph
