It’s that time again to start thinking about your resolutions for the upcoming year. After the turmoil of 2019, I would really love a chill 2020 tbh. However, I doubt that’s what 2020 has in store for me and as such I’m using my 2020 resolutions as a way to remind myself to take a little me time.
Resolution 1: Go to the Gym consistently
Throughout 2019 I went through phases where I would gym 4 times a week for a few months and then I’d completely drop off the bandwagon for 6 weeks and then I’d start again for two months then stop. Over and over and over again throughout the year. This year I’m going to try and consistently go to the gym at least once a week, hopefully more, but find time at least once to go.
Resolution 2: Read more
In 2019, being in and out of hospital waiting rooms got me reading. I was super lucky to have been given a kindle for Christmas (early too) from my best friend which was a life saver on Christmas eve when we had to go into the ER. Every since it’s always in my bag or within reach so I can read it whenever there’s some waiting to be done. I set myself a Goodreads challenge of 30 books and I’m at 26 to go as of the 28th (when I’m writing this post) which I highly doubt I’ll completely sadly as all the books I currently have on the go are 400-600 page novels which sadly would take me only reading all day everyday from now until NYEs to read 4 of them.
Resolution 3: Stop slacking on my skincare routine
2019 as I’m sure you’ve all gathered was a little bit up and down and as such my skincare has fallen out of order. I’ve been trying to use things up and clear out some of my older products that I don’t use anymore so I’ve let somethings finish without replacing them. It’s looking like by early February 2020 I’ll be able to replenish my favourites and get my skincare routine back on track!
Resolution 4: Finish up Some Concluded TV Shows
This is such a random resolution but for 2020 I would ideally like to finish at least 1 concluded TV show. I have a horrible habit of getting into shows and then as soon as they start to be on the fence for cancellation or conclusion I loose interest in them. Instead of starting something new to watch I’m going to try *try being the operative word* to get back into one of the older shows that have since ended.
Resolution 5: Keep my Room Clean
I did a really good job this year getting my room and my study organized this year but I really want to make a concerted effort this year to stay organized as I go about my day.
Resolution 6: Declutter
I’ve been feeling like there’s a lot of “extra” stuff in my room and throughout my life that’s taking up space. While I have no plans to pull a full Marie Kondo on everything I’ve decided that 2020 is the year to use up what I don’t like and only focus on the things I really like, even things like clothing and shoes where I might love something but it’s time to wear it to death and send it on it’s way because there are pieces that I like more.
