It’s starting to get warmer and I seriously do not have the patience (or the heart tolerance) to blow dry my hair so I’m going to share my three favourite no heat hair styles. All will work on freshly wash hair and some will work for second/third day hair!
Mermaid Waves
This hair style is super super easy and happens while you sleep. You simply need to put your hair into one or two french braids before you sleep (I like to do it right after I wash my hair to ensure max wave potential) and when you wake up you’ll have perfect mermaid waves.
If you like lots of volume dutch braids provide a little bit more volume at the roots and if you have hard to curl like (like moi) run a little bit of gel through your hair prior to braiding for added hold and definition. I like to use the IGK Hair Rich Kid Coconut Oil Air- Dry Styling Cream.
Centre-Part High Bun
Another hairstyle that is great done on wet hair or 2nd/3rd day hair is the centre-part bun most commonly seen on Kendal Jenner. This hairstyle has been making the rounds on tiktok and I really like it…. so i started doing it.
All you need to do, is section out the front part of your hair (think curtain bang area) and leave it out while you gather the rest of your hair into a high pony. Take the front pieces you’ve left out and split it down the middle to create a centre part. Bring each side back around to the pony careful to keep the centre part pronounced. Then create a bun et voila! Finish with hairspray and any cute bobbles if you want to add some!
Slicked Back Low Pony
This is my go-to work hair style on days 2 and 3 (especially early morning showings on day 3 hair).
I gather my hair back into a low pony at the nape of my neck, chuck on a hair bow for a little something extra and liberally spray on the hairspray to tame the flyaways and run out the door.
It’s sooooo easy and a serious no brainer for when you are half asleep getting ready in the morning.
