It’s sale time! The Sephora Semi- Annual sale has officially wrapped and I’ve FINALLY received my order (they are taking longer to ship out due to warehouse protocols surrounding COVID) which I wanted to share with you guys. As you all know, I’ve been really focused on cleaning up my skincare regime and making sure that the skincare that I am using is clean beauty. Clean beauty has become a central focus in my regime as more information is coming to light about how certain ingredients/chemicals are linked to health risks. I’ve always known that there was potential risk with constantly using chemicals on my skin, but now there are trials, evidence and reports it’s really difficult to turn a blind eye. SO, I’ve made the switch to eliminate the currently proven ingredients with health concerns and as more information becomes available my routine will adapt to match that.
If you haven’t been following along with my Beauty Shelfie series that I’ve been posted, I’ve been focusing on streamlining my routine down and reducing the amount of products I use. Last year I did an unofficial skincare “low-buy” to kick-start this process which left A LOT of “holes” in my routine. I really only purchased cleanser last year because I honestly had sooo many moisturizer and treatments that there was no need to buy more. Finally, I’ve gotten to a place with my collection (is it bad that there was enough to call it a collection?) that I really needed to get my regiment back on track.
This all being said: Here is what I’ve picked up from Sephora!
I have 3 repurchases that I’ve picked up.
Two will be no surprise which are the Tatcha The Rice Polish Deep and Tatcha The Water Cream.
I constantly rave about the Rice Polish, I use it in the shower daily as a daily cleanser/exfoliant, it’s amazing. I love the texture, the light exfoliation and how my skin feels clean without being tight or dried out like so many other cleansers.
I also constantly rave about the water cream. it’s my favourite day time moisturizer because it’s light weight, hydrating and layers beautiful under makeup. It’s perfect for my combination skin and doesn’t clog my pores.
The third repurchase, is the First Aid Beauty AHA Exfoliant Peel. I purchased my first tube in the winter and loved it so much that I’ve picked up a second! I’ve become a total convert to a chemical exfoliator. I find that this exfoliator leaves my skin baby soft and leaves a far more even exfoliation. What’s even better is that the results actually last up to a week which reduces the amount of product as well as time used exfoliating (it’s the little things that make the difference).
I’ve also picked up four new items: The Summer Fridays R+R Mask, the Herbivore Prism Serum, the Saturday Skin Bright Potion Probiotic Serum and the Sephora Collection Glow Pads.
The Sephora Collection Glow Pads are a little experiment and were bought as a replacement to my much loved First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads. I adore the FAB version, they are holy grail at this point that’s how much I love them and how effective they are. However, I stumbled across the Sephora version which has a comparable ingredients lists at half the price tag so it was worth a shot.
I was going to get the Summer Fridays Jet Lag mask due to rave reviews, it constantly being sold out and everyone and their mothers obsessing over it on socials BUT we are heading into warmer weather and the last thing my skin needs is HYDRATION. So instead, I opted for the R+R Mask for a little exfoliation and help with any hyperpigmentation that will come out with the increased sun exposure (I wear sunscreen and a hat but sometimes there’s still a little dark spot action that I’d like to avoid)
The Saturday Skin Bright Potion was not a planned purchase but a stumbled upon purchase. I was looking for a day-time serum to use that would help even out my skin tone and potentially help manage breakouts without being based on salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Something a little more gentle and less drying on the skin.
The final new purchase is the Herbivore Prism Serum. It has the same main ingredient as the FAB peel, AHA, which helps cell turnover and exfoliates the skin. This is a night serum and I’m hoping that it’ll work on a gentle daily basis to help keep my pores from getting clogged and keep my skin soft between FAB peels.
That’s all I got! Let me know what you picked up from the sale!

Still waiting for my order. It is coming Tuesday and I am excited! I also bought a aha skin serum for brightening thinking it will help to manage breakouts inbetween masks ans peels. Great haul!
So exciting! They’ve been taking a bit longer than normal to get orders out but you have to appreciate them looking after their warehouse staff! That’s what I’ve been using it for! Just to help turn over some of the dead skin and reduce spots and I’ve been absolutely loving it especially combined with the FAB facial radiance pads it’s a 10/10 from me!
