London is an absolutely magical city to spend the holidays in. Not only is there so so so much to do in the city, but every shop, restaurant and park it seems goes all out for the season! Since, I was fortunate enough to spend some time prior to Christmas there last year I thought it’d be perfect to share my favourite places to get into the holiday spirit in London!
Winter Wonderland
Situated in the middle of Hyde Park, winter wonderland is a winter fair that runs from November 22nd until January 6th. There is tons to see, eat and do with loads of rides and activities, and different market areas! Winter Wonderland does have free entry, however, some activities like skating do require the purchase of tickets.
Hogwarts in The Snow
I didn’t get to do this the last time that I was in London, but I really really really wanted to. It’s top of the bucket list forsake! Effectively you get to visit the set of Harry Potter at Warner Brothers in London and see the set all decked out for Christmas!
Go Skating
You can go skating any number of places throughout winter in London, however, during the holiday season there are some rinks that are open that are just spectacular! You can go skating at Somerset House, Hampton Court Palace, Tower of London, the Natural History Museum, Skylight, and Canary Wharf (we went here after Christmas and still had a blast).
Coppa Club
GO TO THE OUTDOOR IGLOS OMG. Ok so another spot that I didn’t get to go to while I was there but if you can swing a reso for the Igloos GOGOGO! They are so festive, so cute and very very instagrammable.
Christmas Lights
Seriously… if you haven’t seen the Instagrams of Carnaby Street, Regent Street or Oxford Street I’m not entirely sure who you follow on the ‘gram then tbh…. London has some of the best Christmas street decorations around! Walk up (or down) Bond, Oxford, Carnaby, Regent, through Trafalgar Square, Sloane Square, Covent Gard and along South Bank to take in all the installations.
Store Fronts and Extra Decorations
Pretty much every store front and restaurant in London at this time of year is DECKED out! But incase you want my favourites, here they are: The Ivy Chelsea Garden, Annabel’s Mayfair, Peggy Porschen Cakes, Dalloway Terrace, and Covent Garden!
I hope you guys enjoyed this festive guide through London! Stayed tuned for tomorrow’s post all about my favourite red lipsticks for the holiday season!
