Dad shoes were first to come, and now we’ve gone back to the 90s and ugly sandals have made the biggest comeback. No, thankfully I’m not talking about crocs, but I am talking about Birkenstocks and dad sandals. While some of you may argue that Birkenstocks either a) never really came into the style or b) never went out of style, you have to agree that since the luxury fashion market is making their own versions they’ve hit the main stream trend market.
They are honestly very very comfortable and I’ve been living in my pair all summer for an easy chuck on an go shoe. Would you guys wear this trend?
I like how there are a few versions of the sandals, there are obviously the very trend (and very expensive) Chanel Version that influencer have been wearing, and there is the much more casual birkenstock (or high end birkenstock collab) versions. The style that is coming out in all the collabs (Valentino, Isabel Marant etc.) and that other brands are copying (ie. Vince) is the Arizona. They are the classic “Birkenstock” shape that most of you would probably associate with the brand, really easy to throw on and so so comfortable. I personally like the all rubber version of Birkenstocks, I feel they are much more comfortable and unlike the leather versions they don’t rub my skin raw.
