2017 was… well 2017. Like every year it had it’s ups and downs but this year held much more personal highs and lows, there were some big life changes that came about. Namely, I left university, my friend group almost entirely changed, and I met someone. To start this year off I wanted to write and publish my resolutions, posting them online where everyone can see them will help me remain accountable because people like my mom read my blog and will remind me about them and I want what I am looking forward to working on and improving to perhaps inspire your resolutions.
Fitness:
In 2017, I started on my fitness journey. I’ve always been skinny/slender because of my build but I really wanted to become fit and toned.
In 2018, I want to continue on my fitness journey and continue to work towards the body that I want.
Health:
Something that I don’t talk about on my social platforms I struggle with is anxiety and attention deficit hyper disorder. The two are very much related as I get anxious when I have a lot of work to do but struggle to complete it because I have a hard time finishing tasks.
In 2018, I want to continue to develop my coping mechanisms and continue to explore different strategies to help me improve my mental health.
Blogging:
It’s time for this blog to go somewhere. I’ve been blogging without a real purpose or direction on and off for three years.
In 2018, I want publish posts twice a week and build a community of fashion conscience millennials who like me believe in quality pieces over quantity.
Personal:
2017 saw a change in who I considered my close friends, my relationship status changed and I moved away from my university town.
2017/2018 has seen my friends and I end up in different cities, time zones and even countries. The next few months of 2018 will only see more of this as my friends and I go on exchange, travel, start internships, graduate etc. None of us have a clear plan of where we are going to be by 2019, which is why in 2018 I want to work on building stronger relationships with the people in my life. Living in different places has caused people to grow apart but I am determined to not let that happen.
Professional:
2017 was the year my Instagram started to “take off”, I had a few small sponsored posts here and there and was able to travel to Bali with The Asia Collective.
In 2018, I want to continue to build the Hungry and Well Dressed Brand and begin to create a business surrounding it. In addition to Hungry and Well Dressed, I also work as a Social Media Manager for another business, I want to continue to grow that companies brand and build a team to help me.
I hope you guys enjoyed my 2018 New Years Resolutions!
xoxo Steph
