We are officially three months into this project woot! It’s been slow going, but there is progress being made on my products that while not obvious from the sheflies will slowly become clear once the empties start coming up! The weather has changed for the better here which is lovely because I don’t feel like I’m applying moisturizer onto the Sahara Desert to no avail.
What I’m starting to find is that the added humidity coming into the air with the spring rains has alleviated my need to use the oils in my collection as frequently, so I’ve dropped their usage down to once every other day and come the summer they will probably only be used when my skin is super dry. In general, I much prefer serums to oils texturally and I think to a degree my skin does as well which has reinforced my original belief that getting my collection down to just my Kheils Midnight Recovery Oil is the right choice.
What I’ve Used Up:
This is not a “used up” item as it is a sad discard. I used to use this product ALL the time in the winter in combination with the Pure Truth Serum, however, I’ve generally stopped using Vitamin C products as they tend to clog my pores without doing much else for the overall tone and radiance of my skin. Not only is this a SUPER thick oil, it never fully absorbed into my skin leaving me a greasy mess for the better part of the day and unable to wear makeup without it completely breaking up and breaking me out. So it’s a no from me, since cutting this out and adding in the AHA peel, my skin has been really clear aside from the occasional hormonal breakout.
Rating: 4/10
This product is also discontinued so I will not be repurchasing, but it just didn’t work for me and as someone who can’t deal with something feeling like it’s sitting on my skin and sticky this will have to be a no from me.
Price: $$$
This was expensive from what I remember and such a small bottle. If you had dry skin, I can only imagine how quickly this would be used up.
