Hey guys! It’s been a busy start to 2020 but I’m FINALLY en route to get my nails done for the first time this year. I was sitting thinking about the nail trends that I’ve been loving and wearing through 2019 and what ones I’ve been thinking about trying in 2020!
For my birthday last year (Feb 2019) I got an ombre french manicure done on my nails for the first time and wow… did that revolutionize my nail art lifestyle… aka I was/still am obsessed and it’s been my most worn nail trend of 2019. Personally, I don’t think I’m stopping getting an ombre french manicure done anytime soon as it’s so subtle, elegant and LOW MAINTENANCE these babys can grow out for the full 3 weeks without being HORRENDOUSLY noticeable. I go to two different nail salons in my area to get the ombre French manicure : Yellow Door Salon in DT Oakville and Liv Nail Bliss in Oakville place. The Yellow Door version is much more subtle while the Liv version is a higher contrast. I love both equally, however, I go to Yellow Door when I want a high end pamper and Liv when I need to get in, get them down and get out. I honestly cannot be bothered to spend hours at a nail salon except for special occasions.
This year, I really want to try a few variations on the classic French Manicure, which TBH I’m not entirely sure what to call it but you will see what it looks like from the photo below! I’m not sold yet on the traditionally version of the French Manicure but I’ve seen some beautiful variations that more speak to me that are a little more chic (imo) and modern.
Some other nail trends that I want to try out are a little less chic and much more edgy (but still neutral). I would love to try out the flame nail trend if I end up going to a concert or the fun neutral nail with the dots would be right up my alley.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Let me know what nail trends you are going to be wearing this winter and which of my choices you think I should get next!
xoxo S
