Good afternoon everyone,
Since my last Aritzia Sizing Update was super popular, and things have changed a little since then I thought I would do another update to share my thoughts with you guys to hopefully make your online/in-store shopping experience a bit easier.
If you are interested in any specific pieces and how they fit, I have a dedicated series on my YouTube Channel called FYI Before You Buy that has in-depth product reviews.
To quickly give you guys a run through of how the store works. There are 5 main brand groupings at Aritzia: Wilfred, Babaton, TNA, Denim and Other. Each brand grouping is broken up into separate diffusion brands/lines. Diffusion brands/lines are the companies in-house clothing lines. Usually you’ll see this with department stores i.e. Lord + Taylor with Lord + Taylor.
With Aritzia, each diffusion line represents a style and price point.
Babaton Atelier is the highest price point and is typically work-wear, heavy on suiting and tailored pieces.
The Babton Atelier consists of four different lines. Babaton, The Group by Babton, 1-01 Babton and Ten by Babaton.
Wifred Studio is the mid price point with casual weekend wear mixed with semi-formal work pieces.
Wilfred Studio also has four lines. Wilfried, Wilfred Free, Le Fou Wilfred, and La Boheme.
TNA is the lowest price point and largely consists of atheleisure and lounge wear.
TNA has two line: TNA and the Superpuff.
In the Other Category, there is Sunday Best, Little Moon, Auxiliary, Main Character and Community.
All of the above lines along with denim forum are in-house brands. They also sell Levi’s, AGOLDE and Citizens of Humanity denim.
Now onto sizing. Keep in mind this is just a general rule of thumb and they may be outliers (but I do talk about those if I come across them on my YouTube Channel).
Sizing Guide
Babaton Atelier:
Blazers/Jackets are typically true to size, if you plan to wear with hoodies or thick knitwear sizing up is advised to avoid feeling like the Michelin Man.
I find trousers/shorts/skirts fit small so I would advise up, I typically wear a size 4 in Babaton trousers and find they fit nicely or will (rarely) need a belt to have them sit where I want them too.
In blouses, I find they fit true to size unless they are a fitted button up, then I recommend sizing up (especially if you are larger than a C cup) because they are TIGHT around the chest.
Wilfred Studio:
I find all the Wilfred lines fit true to size with two exceptions: Wilfred Free runs slightly large (especially in knitwear so there is room to size down if you would like) and La Boheme runs a little small (it’s all boho inspired pieces sizing up will not detract from their flowy nature in the slightest).
TNA: TNA is true to size across the board. In leggings and biker shorts, get your recommended size based on the size chart and for sweaters, jackets, tops etc. order the size that reflects how you want it to fit based on your true size. ie. if you want a t-shirt to fit slightly more oversized, then size up one or two sizes
In Sunday Best: I find Sunday Best runs a touch large on my frame personally, I still get my true size and opt to style them a little oversized or will get the items tailored.
I hope this post helps in your shopping! Let me know if you have any questions!
xoxo S
