It’s summer and summer means much much much more time spent outdoors. Whether it’s just walking around town or spending the day at the beach, sunscreen is even more important. While you should be wearing sunscreen every single day, I personally have a few different sunscreens that serve various purposes. As I find myself really sensitive to certain sunscreen ingredients and absolutely cannot stand how sunscreen just sits like and oily film on top of my skin. It’s taken me a long while but I’ve decided on the my favourite sunscreen, the one that I’d take with me to a deserted island.
My absolute favourite sunscreen is the Shiseido Ultra Sun Protection Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ WetForce Sunscreen.
It’s a little bit oily if you put too much on, but it’s absolutely amazing if you use a little bit at a time and build it up.
It’s the only sunscreen that lasts on my skin when I’m outside doing activities and doesn’t slip around. However, it does leave a little bit of a white cast which is not the best, but I’d rather look a little bit ghosty than get sun damage.
In terms of scent, it doesn’t has a strong smell but not as strong at the drunk elephant version or the tinted versions of the Shiseido sunscreen. I find with the other sunscreens I’ve tried, the scent LINGERS. Like throughout the day, I’ll end up getting whiffs of it, which I don’t like at all.
Overall Thoughts:
Texture: 8/10 It’s a touch oily 🙁
Lasting power: 9/10 it does wear off my nose a little bit faster than I’d like
Price: $$ It’s on the expensive side but it lasts for so long, it’s worth it
Scent: 10/10 Not amazing at first but goes away really fast
