What To Know Before You Buy From Revolve

Hey Hungries,

I recently placed an order with Revolve for the first time in over a year and I really wanted to share the honestly incredible experience.

In the past I haven’t had the most amazing experience with Revolve, from wonky sizing to items coming with holes in them… it’s just not been great. Not to mention their EVER present diversity problem, on their influencer trips. All in all, I just haven’t felt compelled to purchase from them despite loving their clothes.

What changed my mind and got me, was the ease of access and the sale. I have had my eye on a sweater for the past few months and it went on sale… then further sale so I thought why not. Take the plunge, enjoy the savings. Overall, wow. I am super impressed.

Here’s What You Need To Know

As a Canadian, Duty and Import fees can be absolutely awful. THE WORST. There are some sites where you buy something and almost double your cart price just from the duties alone… it’s not great.

Thankfully, Revolve now includes the duties in the purchase price so you aren’t hit with it all at the end. (Something I prefer).

Revolve also offers free shipping over $125 CAD. I love free shipping, honestly, having to pay for really expensive shipping to Canada is really annoying.

What’s even better than the free shipping is, FAST free shipping. I got my order the day after I ordered it which is incredible.

Overall, not a bad experience re: shipping.

RE: Sizing – Since I got out of season stuff on sale (ie. sweaters) and a pair of shoes from Tony Bianco, I can’t attest to the Revolve in-house line sizing, BUT in the past it has run big.

I also want to point out that Revolve does often carry extended sizing, with their range running from XXS through to XL, with the XXS, L and XL usually out of stock. So, more stocking for both the smallest and the largest sizes is required AND they could really use MORE SIZES. It’s been a request for some time, so it’s clear the demand is there.

Overall

I had a great experience, especially in regards to the shipping time and cost.

I think if you are looking for extended sizing, Revolve is likely not going to be your go-to across the board. There is just not a robust enough selection for it to be a recommendation of mine.

xoxo S
